Amsterdam groove scientists Mr.Windmill & Jay.Soul are back with the 5-track Shanghaii Lights EP (in Chinese: 上海灯火), named after the fascinating Chinese metropolis where the brothers have been dwelling a lot recently.

Just like on their debut release The Perculationn EP, Mr.Windmill & Jay.Soul hit you with a variety of beats, tempos and styles. From the dusty & jazzy b-boy house of "Yan'An Xi Lu" (also incl. on Bagpak's HOUSE Vol.1 compilation - video here: www.vimeo.com/8415846) to the energetic funky breakbeat based "All U Got To Dohoo" and the summer vibes of the addictive opening song "Summer Dresses". This track showcases the delicious vocals & playful lyrics of Swedish singer Cecilia Stalín (her Afro Blue EP, featuring Daz-I-Kue a.o. is out now) over the previously released instrumental banger "PeterrBoeve". Shanghaii Lights is completed by loop based percussive number PottVerDorie and synth heavy Hong Zhong Lu that both gradually unfold into tried and tested, sexy mid tempo burners. Deep stuff.
