The veteran Amsterdam producer/musician/beatmaker has made so many tracks over the 2+ decades he's been at it, that he keeps on finding forgotten gems almost daily.

When asked why he wants to put out this older material, Jay says: “I just know there are beats-loving people out there who will appreciate these unreleased instrumentals. I'm kind of proud of the creativity and vision i had way back when i was just starting out. All I had was just a second hand Akai S950 sampler with 1.5MB (!) of memory, an Atari to run midi-only Cubase on, and a simple borrowed mixer (Shout to Igor “Iggy Blastah" - RIP homie).”

Most of these ultra-funky, rugged and soulful snacks on Fromthearchives, Vol.2 were produced between 1997 and 2010 and are seeing the light of day for the first time. So crank up that volume and let the music lift your spirits.
